Emma, Cleo y Rikki son tres chicas que crecen en una localidad de la costa Australiana. Emma es una joven deportista, Cleo es ingenua y Rikki, la nueva, es una chica inteligente. Un día en que las chicas están navegando, llegan accidentalmente a la misteriosa isla de Mako, donde terminan atrapadas en una vieja gruta bajo un volcán. Consiguen salvarse por una vía de agua pero, a partir de ese momento, sus vidas no volverán a ser las mismas para ninguna de las tres. Una mañana, descubren que al contacto con el agua se convierten en sirenas. Además las chicas irán descubriendo que experimentan poderes extraordinarios. lntentarán continuar con su vida cotidiana, pero no les será nada fácil. 
Emma, Cleo and Rikki are three girls growing up in a town in the Australian coast. Emma is a young athlete, Cleo and Rikki is naive, the new, it's a smart girl. One day, when the girls are surfing accidentally reach the mysterious Mako Island where you end up trapped in an old cave under a volcano. Get saved by a leak but from that moment on, their lives will never be the same for any of the three. One morning, they discover that upon contact with water become sirens. Besides girls they will discover that experience extraordinary powers. lntentarán they go about their daily life, but it will not be easy.
