My Favourite Dish at Christmas / Mi plato favorito en Navidad

Sarmale

My favorite dish at Christmas we usually cook every year at this time is called 'Sarmale', a typical and traditional dish in Romania and it consists of rolls with minced meat, rice, vegetables (the most common usually with green and red pepper , carrot, but you can put the vegetables you want), pepper ( I love it) and all this is mixed and put into a cabbage leaf and rolled up so that the ground beef and seasonings cannot spill over.
I cover it with whipped cream which is what I like most and it is the usual way of eating it.

Mi plato favorito en navidad y lo que solemos cocinar cada año en Navidad se llama "Sarmale", un plato típico y tradicional en Rumanía y son como rollitos de primavera pero con carne picada, con arroz, verduras( lo más habitual suele ser con pimiento verde y rojo, zanahoria, pero puedes poner la verdura que quieras), pimienta (a mí me encanta) y todo esto se mezcla y se pone dentro de una  hoja de la col y se enrolla para que no salga la carne picada y los condimentos.
Por encima yo le hecho nata montada que es lo que más me gusta y lo que más se echa.

Mamaliga

And to go with it, 'Mamaliga', a  yellow paste that we see in the photo with the 'Sarmale'.
Mamaliga contains yellow cornmeal, butter and salt, and with 'Sarmale' it tastes really great.

Y de acompañamiento "Mamaliga" que es la pasta amarilla que se observa en la foto de Sarmale.
'Mamaliga' contiene harina de maíz amarilla, mantequilla y sal, y junto a Sarmale para mi gusto está buenisimo.
