Summer / Verano

El verano es la época del año relacionada directamente con el sol, la playa, el ocio y el entretenimiento. Es en esta estación cuando más trabajadores/as disfrutan de sus merecidas vacaciones dejando a un lado los problemas y las preocupaciones cotidianas.

Summer is the time of year directly related to the sun, the beach, leisure and entertainment. It is in this season when more workers / as enjoy your well deserved vacation aside everyday problems and concerns.

1. Tiempo libre:Son las vacaciones más largas del año, y al ser más largos los días, tendrás un montón de tiempo para invertirlo en lo que quieras. Dormir hasta las tantas, darte largos baños en la piscina, hacer maratones de series o, simplemente, no hacer nada.

1. Leisure: They are the longest holiday of the year, and the days grow longer, you'll have plenty of time to spend on whatever you want. Sleep until late, give long baths in the pool, series marathons or simply do nothing.

2. ¡La alegría que se respira en el ambiente!
Y es que en verano, ya sea por la luz del sol, por el tiempo libre, o por cualquiera de las cosas que he dicho más arriba, se respira felicidad por cada esquina.

2.It is the joy that permeates the atmosphere!And in summer, either by sunlight, for leisure, or any of the things I've said above, happiness is breathed by each corner.

3. ¡La ropa sobra!
Es tiempo de sacar todos los shorts del altillo, tops cortos, vestidos ligeros… e incluso, darte el capricho de ir en bañador todo el verano.

It's time to get all the attic shorts, short tops, dresses ... and even light, give yourself to go all summer bathing suit.

4.  ¡Bendita comida de verano!
Desde la fruta fresquita como la sandía, melón, melocotones…. pasando por ensaladas fresacs y gazpachos, hasta ¡¡los helados!!
Además tenemos mucho más tiempo para cocinar.

4. Blessed summer meals!
From the fresquita fruit such as watermelon, cantaloupe, peaches .... fresacs through salads and gazpacho, to 'ice cream !!
We also have much longer to cook.

5. ¡Disfrutar del mar y el sol!
¿Existe un plan mejor, con esta temperatura, que ir a la playa, tenderte en la arena, broncearte…? El agua en verano es vida, sea donde sea, en la playa, en la piscina, en una charca o en la ducha.

5. Enjoy the sea and sun!
Is there a better plan, with this temperature, which go to the beach, lie down on the sand, tan ...? The water in summer is life, wherever it is, on the beach, at the pool, in a pond or in the shower.

7. ¡Disfruta de las noches de verano!
Puedes ir a cualquier terraza de tu ciudad para tomar un aperitivo, cenar, o tomar unas copas; como disfrutar de un paseo a la luz de la luna y las estrellas, respirar tranquilamente el ambiente caluroso veraniego o aprovechar y ¡¡darte un baño nocturno!!

7. Enjoy summer evenings!
You can go to any terrace in your city for a snack, dinner or a drink; and enjoy a walk in the light of the moon and the stars, breathe calmly summer hot environment or tap and have a night swim !!

Farewell / Despedida

Esta va a ser la última entrada al blog que se subirá en este curso, ya que hemos terminado todos los exámenes y las clases, y hasta el año que viene no podremos subir nada ya que en verano se acaban las clases y todos se van de vacaciones.

This is the last post in the blog we are writing this school year, as we have taken all the tests and classes, and until next year we cannot upload anything because in summer classes are finished and we are on holiday.

Ahora en estas vacaciones esperamos que las disfrutéis mucho y que durante este año os haya entretenido todas las entradas que hemos subido, ya que les hemos dedicado tiempo y siempre hemos intentado organizar y subir siempre una entrada al blog por alumno.

Now on this holiday we hope you enjoy it a lot and this year I hope you have had a good time  with all the posts we have written, as we have spent time on them and we have always tried to organize and always upload a post per student.

Two Uncommon jobs / Dos trabajos diferentes

Desayunar, comer y cenar gratis para ponerte hasta arriba. Descansar en una estupenda suite sin tener que compartir la cama con nadie, recibir masajes de cuerpo entero, salir hasta tarde, beber grandes cantidades de vino, caipiriña y mojitos. Practicar buceo, surf, kitesurf, kayak, remo, vela, esquí acuático, piragüismo o por el contrario, no hacer absolutamente nada durante largos períodos de tiempo…¿Quién quiere vacaciones teniendo un trabajo así?

Si te gusta comer helado y crees que tienes buenas papilas gustativas, este es un buen trabajo.
Los catadores de helados se pasan todo el día probando nuevos sabores e inventando nuevos sabores haciendo mezclas químicas para los consumidores hasta dar con el resultado más satisfactorio para ser lanzado al mercado, después de un día en el trabajo pueden haber probado 31 sabores diferentes.

If you like to eat ice cream and you think that you have good gustatory papilla, this one is a good work.
The tasters of ice creams spend the whole day tasting new flavours and inventing new flavours doing chemical mixtures for the consumers to find the most satisfactory result to be thrown to the market, after one day in the work they can have tasted 31 different flavours.

My Dream Houses: in the Mountain, in the Woods, at the Beach

There are two types of home I would like to live in: in the mountains or in the woods (autumn and winter) and in a beach house (summer) .

House in the mountains or in the woods:
For my winter holidays because it is peaceful and serene, there is no traffic, the views are amazing and there is more snow than in the city .
The mountain or forest air is purer and it is essential to relax.

Hay dos tipos de casa en las que me gustaría vivir: En la montaña o bosque(en otoño e invierno) y casa en la playa(de verano).

Casa en la montaña o bosque:
Para vacaciones de invierno me encanta, porque es más tranquilo y sereno, no hay mucho tráfico de coche, las vistas son increíbles y hay más nieve que en la ciudad.
El aire de la montaña o de bosque es más puro y para relajarse viene muy bien.

Although it is very relaxing to live in the mountains and I like it, what I like most is that it is made of wood, the typical houses that look like a cabin but larger. They have a garage, the house is large with two or three storeys and a terrace.

Aparte de que es muy relajante vivir en la montaña y me gusta, lo que más me agrada es que sea de madera, las típicas casas que parecen una cabaña pero más grandes. Que tengan un garaje, que la casa sea ancha y de tres o dos pisos, con terraza.

Light is important, so many windows will provide a good luminosity and not only that, it also gives a modern and neat touch, especially pleasing to the eye, with a fireplace and an antique chandelier.

Que esté iluminado es importante, gracias a tantas ventanas se consigue y no solo eso, también le da un punto más moderno y limpio, sobre todo agradable a la vista, con una chimenea y una araña antigua.

Apart the fact that I love Twilight movie, I would like my house in the woods to be like this house.

Outside:
I really like its rectangular wooden shape, with so many windows, and its top is wider than its bottom, and it is 3-story high.

A parte de que soy amante de la película de Crepúsculo, me gustaría que mi casa fuera como ésta.

Su exterior:
Me gusta mucho que tenga esa forma rectangular que sea de madera, tiene muchas ventanas, en la parte de arriba es más ancha que la de abajo, que tenga 3 pisos.

For my summer holidays, a house with palm trees on the beach is what I like, large, modern with a pool.

The home of the famous singer Beyoncé, with arched windows and doors (Moroccan style) would be an example.

Para las vacaciones de verano una casa con palmeras o en la playa es lo que más me gustaría, grandes modernas con piscina.
La casa de la cantante famosa Beyoncé, con ventanas y entradas con forma de arco (estilo marroquí) sería un ejemplo.

Another home where I would like to live in in summer is in one overlooking the sea with infinity pool and a lot of windows.

Otra casa en la que me gustaría vivir para verano es con vistas al mar con piscina de fondo infinito y las ventanas que no falten.

Inside, I wish the bedroom had underwater decoration to see fish and coral arecifes.

En el interior, el dormitorio me gustaría que tuviese decoración submarina en la que se vean los peces y arecifes de coral.

My Dream Trip: SYDNEY

Sydney is the largest and most populous city in Australia. In the city stands Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and its beaches. The metropolitan area is surrounded by national parks with bays and rivers.
Sidney would be one of the cities I would like to go to on vacation and do a tourist route but in particular I would like to go to "Darling Harbour" which is a port in Sydney. Today it is a popular tourist site, with restaurants, bars, shops and parks. There are also concerts and other public events.  Other interesting sites include the Chinese Garden, the National Maritime Museum and Sydney Aquarium.

Sídney es la ciudad más grande y poblada de Australia. En la ciudad destaca la Ópera de Sídney, el puente del puerto de Sídney y sus playas. El área metropolitana está rodeada de parques nacionales que contienen bahías y ríos.
Sídney seria entre otras una de mis ciudades a las que me gustaría ir algún día de vacaciones y hacer una ruta turística pero en concreto me gustaría ir al "Puerto de Darling" que es un puerto de la ciudad. Hoy en día es un sitio turístico popular, con restaurantes, bares, tiendas y parques. También hay conciertos y otros eventos públicos. Otros sitios interesantes incluyen el jardín chino, el Museo Marítimo Nacional y el Acuario de Sídney.

Sydney Beaches: The most famous -most popular- are Bondi and Manly.

Australian Museum: the oldest museum in Australia, with an international reputation in the fields of natural history and anthropology.

King Street / Calle Rey

Newtown is a neighborhood three kilometers south of the city center. It is a mixed neighborhood, interesting and alternative. Its main street is called King Street, it has many shops and ethnic restaurants. It is estimated that King Street has more than 30 Thai restaurants.

Newtown es un barrio a tres kilómetros al sur del centro de la ciudad. Es un barrio mezclado muy interesante y alternativo. Su calle principal que se llama Calle del Rey tiene tiendas y muchos restaurantes étnicos. Se estima que Calle del Rey tiene más de 30 restaurantes tailandeses.

Sydney has a wide variety of cultural institutions. The iconic Sydney Opera House has five rooms able to accommodate a wide range of playing styles and is home to Australia opera and Sydney symphony orchestra.

Sídney tiene una amplia variedad de instituciones culturales. La icónica Ópera de Sídney tiene cinco salas capaces de albergar una amplia gama de estilos de interpretación, y es el hogar de la Ópera de Australia y de la Sinfónica de Sídney.

And this is the city of my dreams that someday I hope to go to on vacation.

Y está a sido la ciudad de mis sueños a la que espero ir algún día de vacaciones.
