Durante cinco días a la  semana, ocho horas tienen que jugar a los juegos que las compañías les entregan para que ellos jueguen, repitan los niveles, jueguen con todos los personajes del juego, para encontrar fallos, bugs, glitches, etc. El sueldo es de 17.500 euros/año. Se necesita experiencia como jugador, y aún mejor tener una carrera de informática.

Edward Pembroke

Paseador de patos

En el hotel Peabody en Memphis, EE.UU, desde 1933, vive una familia de patos ingleses, porque el Gerente General Frank Schutt decidió dejarlos luego de traerlos de un fin de semana de caza en este hotel, la fuente del hotel fue elegido como su hogar.

En 1940, un botones se ofreció a cuidar a los patos. Entonces, Edward Pembroke se convirtió en el “Maestro de los patos” y desempolvó sus dotes de entrenador de animales (que había adquirido trabajando en un circo) para que los animales aprendieran una original rutina.

Cada día a las 11 de la mañana todos en el hotel esperan La Marcha de los patos. Es el momento en que ellos salen en fila ordenada y con paso elegante de su ático y desfilan por el lobby hasta el ascensor.  Después, se pavonean por la alfombra roja cual estrellas de Hollywood, con música de fondo y todo, hasta llegar a la fuente de mármol italiano. La ceremonia de vuelta a sus aposentos se realiza a las 17 horas.

Duck Master
In the hotel Peabody, in Memphis, US,  since 1933, lives a family of English ducks, because the General Manager Frank Schutt decided then to leave them after bringing them from a weekend of hunting in this hotel, and the hotel fountain was chosen as their home.
In 1940, a bellboy offered to look after the ducks. Then, Edward Pembroke became the "Master of ducks" and dusted off his skills as an animal trainer (which he had acquired working in a circus) for the animals to learn an original routine.
Every day at 11 am everyone in the hotel expects the March of the ducks. It is the time when they come in neat row and elegant way from their penthouse and parade through the lobby to the elevator. Then they strut down the red carpet like Hollywood stars, with background music and all, to reach the fountain of Italian marble. They go back to their quarters at 17.

Es difícil lograr un puesto de trabajo con esta función, conocidos como Master Model Builders, los constructores profesionales de Lego trabajan en la creación de los kits de muñecos y crean los enormes exhibiciones  que aparecen en las tiendas y parques temáticos de la empresa. Otra parte del trabajo es participar en los talleres e interactuar con los fans de las figuras. Existen cerca de 50 Master Model Builders por el mundo, y solamente hay dos maneras de ocupar este trabajo: ser invitado por la propia Lego, que generalmente se hace a nivel interno entre los funcionarios de la propia Lego, y participar en concursos especializados, realizados esporádicamente. No es exigida ninguna formación especial, y sí creatividad con los bloques.

It is difficult to get a job with this function, known as Master Model Builders, professional Lego builders working on creating dolls kits and create the huge displays that appear in stores and theme parks business. Another part of the job is to participate in workshops and interact with fans of the figures. There are about 50 Master Model Builders around the world, and there are only two ways to take this job: being invited by Lego itself, which is usually done internally between officials Lego own, and participate in specialized competitions, made sporadically. No special training is required but creativity with blocks.

1. Catador de helados

Esta profesión también está entre los 'trabajos más deseados'. Alison Gray se dedica a ello desde hace 13 años, cada día tiene que comerse un bote diario de helado y tiene que crear nuevos sabores. Un sabor nuevo se consigue aproximadamente en 18 meses, algo que también incluye viajar alrededor del mundo captando nuevas fragancias e ingredientes que podrían ser utilizados en las nuevas creaciones.

This profession is also among the 'most wished jobs'. Alison Gray has devoted  herself to it for 13 years, every day she has to eat a can of ice cream and she has to create new flavors. A new flavor is obtained approximately in 18 months, something that also includes to travel around the world catching new fragrances and ingredients that might be used in the new creations.

Jim Reid adora el buceo, y es de los afortunados que han hecho su trabajo de sus aficiones. Solía buscar objetos de valor en el agua, y un día se metió en el lago de un campo de golf, lo que le ha hecho ganar mucho dinero. El administrador del campo le ofreció 10 centavos (0,94 céntimos) por cada bola, ese día sacó un total de 2.000, por ello decidió dejar el trabajo que tenía en el momento y fundó su empresa: 'Second Chance Golf Ball Recyclers' que recibe entre 80.000 y 100.000 bolas por día. Las recogía y limpiaba, con un beneficio de en torno a 56.676 euros por 652.000 bolas.

 2. Golf Balls Diver
Jim Reid adores diving, and he is of the lucky ones that have turned his hobby into his work. He was in the habit of looking for objects of value in the water, and one day he got into the lake of a golf course, which has made him earn a lot of money since then. The administrator of the field offered him 10 US cents (0,94 €) for every ball, and that day he retrieved a total of 2,000, so decided to leave his work and founded his company: 'Second Chance Golf Ball Recyclers ' that retrieves between 80,000 and 100,000 balls per day. 3. Limpiador de chicles

Su origen está en la reina Isabel II de Inglaterra que buscaba a alguien para quitar los chicles de los Palacios Reales, algo con lo que se podía ganar hasta 24.500 euros al año, con una jornada laboral de 20 horas semanales.

The origin of this job is Queen Isabel II of England who was looking for someone to remove the chewing gums from her royal palaces, something with what you could earn about 24, 500 Euros a year, with 20 weekly hours.

El trabajo que más me ha gustado, por lo diferente y divertido que es, es sin duda el catador de helados.
