LA MUÑECA REAL

La muñeca Annabelle, historia:

En 1970, una mujer le regaló a su hija Donna, estudiante de enfermería y que compartía habitación con otra joven, Angie, una muñeca de la marca Raggedy Ann. Contenta con el regalo, lo primero que Donna hace es dejar a la muñeca sobre su cama como adorno. Sin embargo, a los pocos días empiezan a suceder extraños fenómenos: la muñeca parece moverse sola, ya que cuando las dos regresan al apartamento, se la encuentran en diferentes lugares, aparte de hallar mensajes aparentemente sin sentido como "Help us" (Ayúdanos), "Do you miss me?" (¿Me echas de menos? ) o "Save Lou" (Salven a Lou), como casualmente se llamaba el novio de Donna.

Aunque al principio creen que lo sucedido es una broma de algún estudiante que se cuela en su habitación para asustarlas.

Deciden ignorar los sucesos hasta que estos van en aumento, por lo que acaban pidiendo los servicios de una médium que les informa que dentro de la muñeca está alojado el espíritu de una niña llamada Annabelle Higgins, la cual les pide que la acepten como una más.

Este hecho llama la atención de Lou, el cual al ver cómo Donna y Angie la tratan como si fuera humana, mira con desdén la escena a la que califica de "surrealista". Al poco tiempo este tiene una pesadilla en la que alguien pretende estrangularle hasta que despierta y se encuentra con la muñeca a los pies de la cama, mientras que Lou mira extrañado unas heridas superficiales.

Sin embargo la situación no parece terminar. Las estudiantes escuchan ruidos desde su habitación, pero no encuentran a nadie, por lo que deciden contactar con un cura, el cual deja el caso en dos parapsicólogos: Ed y Lorraine Warren. Estos, a diferencia de la médium, les comentan que no existe tal Annabelle, sino que dentro de la muñeca mora un espíritu maligno que pretende poseer a Donna tras haberle dado permiso para que entrara en su vida. Finalmente optan por deshacerse de la muñeca y los Warren regresan a su casa (donde disponen de un museo) por carreteras secundarias para evitar posibles accidentes a causa del poder manifiesto que provoca que el motor de su coche llegue a calarse.

Desde entonces ha permanecido en una urna de cristal dentro del museo familiar en Connecticut

Annabelle Doll, story:
In 1970, one woman gave her daughter Donna, student of infirmary and that was sharing room with another young woman, Angie, a doll of the brand Raggedy Ann. Happy with the gift, the first thing that Donna does is to lay the doll on her bed as adornment. Nevertheless, within a few days strange phenomena start happening: the doll seems to move alone, because when the two return to the apartment, they find her in different places, apart from finding seemingly senseless messages like Help us, Do you miss me? or Save Lou, as the Donna's boyfriend happens to be called.

Though initially they think that it is a joke of some student who slips past in their room to scare them. They decide to ignore the events until these increase, so they ask for the help of a medium who informs that inside the doll there is the spirit of a girl called Annabelle Higgins, who asks them to accept it as one more. 

This fact calls Lou's attention, who on having seen as Donna and Angie treating the doll her as if it was human, looks with disdain at the scene to which he qualifies of "surrealistic". Then he has a nightmare in which someone tries to strangle him until he wakes up and meets the doll by his bed, whereas Lou looks surprised at a few superficial wounds.

Nevertheless the situation does not seem to end. The students listen to noises from his room, but they do not find anybody, for what they decide to contact a priest, who leaves the case to two parapsychologists: Ed and Lorraine Warren. These, unlike the medium, comment to them that such Annabelle does not exist, but inside the doll there dwells a malignant spirit that tries to possess Donna after allowing it to enter her life. Finally they choose to get rid of the doll and the Warren return to their house (where they have a museum) along secondary roads to avoid possible accidents because of the manifest power that it provokes that the engine of his car manages to get soaked. Since then it has remained in an urn of crystal inside the familiar museum in Connecticut.
