Arenal Sound Festival

It all started in January 2010. The history of a unique festival on the Mediterranean began to be written:

Like all beginnings they were not easy. But year after year, thanks to hard work and the unconditional support of the sounders, the festival kept growing and growing to become today the most crowded festival within our borders, even breaking records of ticket sales in a single day. The first edition was closed with 10,000 attendees that flooded Burriana for 10 intense days. Today there are more than 55,000 sounders those who live in the camping area for 6 days enjoying the greatest musical summer experience.

We are already preparing for the seventh year in a very special way. Seven editions together and continue with the illusion of the first day.

Arenal Sound is not just a festival, it is an experience. It is to live for six days in a seaside camping with old friends and with whom you get to know each edition. Arenal Sound is music. Arenal Sound is able to dance on the sand, swim in the private beach and disappear among the throngs at a concert to jump like nobody saw. Arenal Sound is to contemplate sunsets and discover the most beautiful sunrises you remember from the Beach Club. Arenal Sound is indie, rock, pop and electronics. With each passing year, more thousands of experiences join our story.

I have been able to take part in this race and it surprised me quite enough, I can assure you that it is a totally new and "special" adventure I like me very much, it is an opportunity to play sports of entertaining form and as I have said before at the end of the race there is a holiday holy, when you come to goal you are the holiday, it is the prize of all. There is no winner nor looser, people of all the ages, persons running with the carts of the children or walking or even with the dog. The truth is that it is a great experience to live in family or with friends.

An important celebration: Mother's Day / Una celebración importante: El Día de la Madre

It all began in ancient Greece, when the Greeks paid tribute to Rhea, for them a goddess and mother of gods. Over time, Christians transformed this party honored a tribute to the Virgin Mary.

Time has been lapsing and the celebration of Mother's Day has varied according to the customs of each country. For example, in several countries the second Sunday of May, in others such as Panama, held on December 8 is celebrated.
Each country also has different origins on how the celebration began, as is the case of the US, where it originated at the suggestion made by Julia Ward Howe, head of The Battle Hymn of the Republic in 1872. Julia asked commemorate this day and honor peace. The important thing is that despite having different backgrounds, all commemorations end in the same way, to pay tribute to mothers.

A mother represents the beginning of life, protection, hope and joy, being a mother is something so valuable, so important, so beautiful and so it must be a celebration , giving it the importance it deserves.

And on this day a gift is often given to mothers as a sign of affection and love as it is their day as they have to feel very much loved by their children, husbands, and family;  or else simply a good hug and a couple of kisses would also be equally well.

Carnival in Brazil / El carnaval en Brasil

imagen
The carnival is a celebration that takes place immediately forty days before the beginning of the Christian Lent, which begins in turn with the Ash Wednesday, which has variable date (between February and March according to the year). The carnival combines some elements like disguises, parades, and holidays in the street.

The brilliance of the Brazilian culture dresses of show four days before the Ash Wednesday, is a profane celebration that gives the welcome to the religious privations. It is a tradición who finds his first origin in the former Rome, where the Carnivals were giving each other with the aim to give the welcome to the spring.

These Roman traditions survived and became famous in the European Renaissance culture. They were a part of the celebrations that were given in some flamenco dancing, where gowns, masks or disguises were used and where often there could get confused persons of all the social classes.
These forms of celebration came to America across the conquest. These celebrations are not sole rights of the Brazil, but they developed in diverse places of Latin America. Nevertheless, the second element, preponderant in the tradition of the Carnival of Brazil, the African influence, has great more he attends in the Carnival of Brazil that in others that are realized in South America.
